life was so different.
I thought it was something to wake up at 3 in the morning to finish my work.
Now, it's something to be done before 3.
I thought spending $2 on food was a huge sum.
Now, I can hardly find anywhere selling food that cheap.
I spent each day napping if I wanted to without worries.
Now, I can't even nap in the day because I'm probably working in school.
I didn't have to care what I wore out.
Now, I feel the judgmental glares of society all around me.
If I misbehaved, the most I'd have gotten was a minor reprimanding but it'd be no more than a fleeting memory.
Now, I'd bury my head in shame.
Maybe, just maybe, society has forced us to age beyond what nature has planned for us. We're all so eager to break out of our kiddy shells and embrace reality for what it really is (or so we think). Right now, if you give me a second chance, I'd seriously contemplate doing so. Sigh.
Life.
