Complete confusion at it's best -

*Playing SF IV at P.S. today* I insert a coin and hit the start button. I choose E. Honda and expect to see that I'll be challenging someone. I wait. No such message.

I see someone else hit the start button on another machine but I see that he instead challenges someone else. I suddenly feel a little confused and worried. I think to myself, "Is this machine bugged? Did I somehow access the 'beginner's mode' even though such an option has long been phased out?"

Believing that the latter holds truth, I just go ahead and start playing against my first CPU controlled opponent - a Ryu.

Since I'm up against the com, I throw the first round away without so much as touching a single attack button and instead watch the guy beside me fight. After all, how hard can it be? I'd just stage a 'come back' using just my light punch later on.

On the next round, I find it hard to move the joystick as my ring is on my left hand. So I decided that I shall instead wear it on my right hand. No, I do not do this in one swift motion nor do I do it with the slightest hint of haste. I take my own sweet time to do this. So now I tell myself, "alright, I've lost the first round so I better beat the com up lest I lose to the com... on the first stage." A perfect victory to yours truly.

The final round begins. I continue taking it easy. I start to come up short-handed and before long, realise that I'm at a health disadvantage and on the verge of becoming the laughing stock for the entire SF IV community. I randomly throw out a super, it connects. "Whew." I breathe a sigh of relieve. Nope it's not over, our life is on roughly on par now. "Alright then, since it's just the first stage, the CPU's not gonna block" I assure myself. With that thought in mind, I randomly throw out an ultra. Viola! I win.

And with that, Yilin pops over my shoulder and tells me that I just pissed my opponent of very, very badly and made him a sulky fellow.

It's only now that I realise that I've actually been playing against someone else all this while after all. Maybe just this once, ignorance was bliss.

So once again, it's been requested that I liven up my blog with a more constant supply of new posts, pictures, rubbish and whatever not.

And of course, that is why this post will appear on my blog.

Soooo, the previous week hasn't exactly been what I'd describe as one which is particularly eventful or exciting. There hasn't been that many highlights to point out (only 2 that comes to mind immediately in all honesty).

Highlight No.1 (Wednesday) -
Egg mayo making session!

Headed out in the early afternoon to meet my Awesomest at J8 to do some grocery shopping at NTUC. Ended up buying chips, curry powder, iced lemon tea and some other random items, LOL. Headed back to my place after that to prepare everything. Fun times much :) Everything went smoothly! (YAY MY EGG WAS BOILED FOR LONG ENOUGH LOL). Made some awesome milk tea as well (teehehe) and a bowl of soup. The end products were 2 awesomely yummy looking egg mayo sandwiches (one with curry and the other with pepper, hehehe) to satisfy our tastebuds, a "gong" (tin HAHAHA) of creamy milk tea and a bowl of Campbell goodness.

By the time we were done with everything it was kinda late so we just slacked for a bit more and the Awesomest headed off as I had an appointment with Jim. LOLOL.

Highlight No.2 (Saturday) -
USS!

Spend the most part of my Saturday at the Universal Studios - Singapore (USS) with my famz! Reached there around 1pm and I must admit, I was instantly amazed. The place is very, very well done! Immediately upon arrival, I instantly felt as if though I was transported to another country, considering the fact that the general theme has a very American feel to it, so yeahhh. My constant wake-up slaps though, were the majority of visitors (the locals) and the weather ): The rides too, weren't that shabby either.

And since our tickets all came with a $5/$10 merchandise and food voucher respectively, we decided to just have our lunch there. Decided to try appease our growling stomachs at "Mel's American Diner". No offence, but the overall service was kinda slow and poor. There were numerous times where the staff ended up getting confused. The most confusing part though, was the diner's ordering system. You start by proceeding to a cashier right infront of the counter where you place your order. Once that's done, you've gotta move forward to the counter itself, where you wait for your order to be processed and readied. Pardon me if that's how things usually are in the States, but I'm certainly not used to it. It makes it really troublesome should that be an error in your order :/ The food too, wasn't particularly stomach-happiness material. I mean, it's not terrible, but it only tastes... average (N). LOL. Ordered a cheeseburger, a chilli cheeseburger, a chicken burger, a chicken caesar salad and a vanilla milkshake. I'd like to point out 2 items, which would be the salad and the milkshake - really poor stuff there.

The salad was bare, for $8.90, all I got was a chunk of the same kind of veggie, 5-6 slices of roasted chicken and some croutons. Now, that'd usually be enough to satisfy me, but the price wasn't justified by the portion. And worst of all, the croutons were SOFT. I absolutely HATE soft croutons. LOL. And while I don't exactly mind this, only having one kind of greens do make your salad look rather unappetizing :/ As for the milkshake, pfft. I'm not even sure if I should call it a milkshake. Y'know what, I think I'll call it vanilla-flavoured sugar water from now on. It was seriously SWEET. No wait, it was SERIOUSLY VERY Z0MGWTFBBQ RUKIDDINME SWEET. And it wasn't cold. And it wasn't thick enough. And I could even see a thick layer of syrup resting at the bottom of my cup. Fail.

Spent the rest of the day checking out some of the other attractions , taking pictures and making use of our $5 discount coupon for merchandise.

Ended up spending a good 6 hours or so there before heading off. I'll say this again, the design of the place is really, really nice! My biggest complain though, is the limited amount of attractions available. If I remember correctly, we're talking about a mere 20 or so attractions (excluding retail shops and eateries). That, is really sad. I still want to go back soon though! I didn't get a chance to try out the rafting attraction thingy ):

So yeap, that's about it.

Some things have been bugging me non-stop, but I think I'll skip talking about it here. Some of you might know what I'm referring to... or not. It's truly a major irritant :/

A large chunk of next week will be spent at home, since the Awesomest will be quite busy. Only planning to head out on Tuesday as of now. Quickly now, entertain me -_-

P.s. I can't reply to the tag(s) because my tagboard is currently down and that means that I wouldn't be able to see what you've said and hence not be able to reply you. No, I wish I was gifted with photographic memory but I am not. Too bad.

Hello world,

I don't know why I'm blogging, because I don't really have anything to blog about. I'm just very bored so I'll blog as a bored person and enter a boring entry with regards to my current boredom.

I've kinda forgotten what the past few days have been like, so I won't really go into any details. Only that I can really remember is that it's been exactly a week since Matthew's 17th birthday, so here's a belated happy birthday to him again :)

Apart from that, nothing much. So let's see... tomorrow's free cone day @ Ben & Jerry's, so I shall head down earlier with my Awesomest since we'd be able to beat the school-going crowd that way (HAHAHAHAHA). If time permits I might also try to make a trip down to collect my USS tickets, hehehe :)

*1 hour pasts*

Woah, no kidding. I've been so bored in the past hour that I've been completing random errands and the fact that I was half-way blogging completely slipped my mind. So yeah, I just left this page open for the past hour.... LOL.

Meh, I feel ridiculously fat now. I need to do something about my not-so-awesome fats D: I think I need a healthier lifestyle. Mmm.

Right then, nothing else really worth leaving in words, so I'mma just end here.

Bai!

This line, between right and wrong, can be so hard to discern. So fine and transparent. Your heart it pounds, your break out in cold sweat, you tremble. Whatcha do?

Anywayyyy, I've completely forgotten to reply xiia0choo's tags (HAHAHAHA.) Whoops, sorry!

Yilin: LOL you don't? Err, remind me to check again.

*Disclaimer: The following example is merely used as an illustration and it certainly holds no truth to it*

-You are a young guy, you're good looking, you belong to a filthy rich family, you've got a super model for a girlfriend, and you're in the pink of health

-You get jealous over some poor loser because your boss thinks he's doing a better job at work than you, and you feel that your life sucks.

Say hello to human nature, we're never contended. FO(ur)L. Tsk.
